vuity eye drop reviews

I skipped on reading glasses and tried VUITY eyedrops instead

And they work like magic!

As we age, so do our eyes, leaving us to resort to stylish frames to read and see objects clearer up close.

While I love my eyewear, sometimes I just want a break! Besides that, sometimes I’m still waiting on a new pair of reading glasses to arrive, or I’ll simply have my hands too full to bother finding the ones I misplaced. In any case, VUITY eyedrops have become the perfect temporary solution for my presbyopia.

As an ophthalmologist, I get so excited when novel treatments or solutions are clinically proven to work, and VUITY eyedrops is one of them. As the first of its kind to exist, FDA-approved VUITY eyedrops already have at least 9 different competitors racing to get similar products in pharmacies. Safe to say, these eyedrops definitely do the trick.

How does VUITY work?

VUITY eyedrops manipulate the pupil by constricting it to allow for more focused vision on objects that are up close. The effects can last from anywhere between 6 and 10 hours and take just 15-20 minutes to kick in.

When is the best time to apply VUITY eye drops?

I love using them for those days that I don’t feel like wearing my reading glasses. Even better, I don’t have to put on my reading glasses every time I check my phone, and that’s surprisingly a much-needed convenience within my busy schedule.

However, these eyedrops will definitely make it harder to see in darker settings, so I make sure not to apply them before driving at night. Other than that, it can get a bit difficult to focus between close-up and far-away objects, so I try to apply them when I know I am going to be doing a lot of work or reading.

Who is VUITY for?

Even though VUITY is a miracle worker, it’s not for everyone. If you’re at least 45 years old and have mild progression of presbyopia, then VUITY will probably work best for you. In older adults and more advanced cases, the eyedrops may not be as effective. VUITY also does not treat other eye disorders such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism, so you’ll still have to stick to your prescribed eyewear for those corrections.

Is VUITY safe?

VUITY eyedrops are completely safe, but there may be some mild side effects to be aware of, especially as your eyes get accustomed to them over the weeks:

  • Mild headaches
  • Eye redness or irritation
  • Blurred vision
  • Increased tear production

If you also have other eyedrops you use, just be sure to wait at least 5 minutes between both applications. If you also wear contact lenses, make sure you apply VUITY eye drops before wearing your contacts, and wait 10 minutes in between.

Where can I find VUITY and how much does it cost?

VUITY eyedrops are prescription-only, and they are currently available in almost any pharmacy.

While VUITY eyedrops are widely available, they are not currently covered by any major health insurer or Medicare because they are not considered “medically necessary.” However, they cost just $80 for a 30-day supply.
